Ok folks, let’s look at this logically. Unless you have a psycho ex on the police force or other law enforcement agency, or if you have warrants (which means the police are looking for you anyway), these cameras do nothing but good. They keep you safe, they allow law enforcement to track the bad guys if something happens to you, they allow these agencies to find the bad people out there who are doing things they aren’t supposed to be doing. If you are one of those people, sorry, don’t do bad things.
These cameras have gotten a lot of press lately because the tracking software of the USERS was not necessary until we found out psycho police are tracking their exes. Now here in Georgia 4 police officers and 2 civilian employees of the police department were terminated for misusing these cameras. There is tracking software available for these cameras to track users and the people they are tracking. There’s the good news, they already have this tracking software to make sure this crap isn’t happening. And I guarantee that this software is being implemented in all Flock Camera Systems nationwide if they didn’t already have it in place. So problem solved! Anyone who uses these cameras is now tracked (just like the cameras are doing) and documented. All good!
People are losing their minds “I don’t want to be tracked” “Don’t they have enough tracking with facial recognition?” Give it a rest! Do you really care that the police have access to cameras that read your license plate? If you do, then you probably are up to no good. Thinking of murdering your wife? Just rob a bank? Wanted on every police list known to man? Flock cameras are probably not your friend. For the rest of us, I’m going to rest easy knowing the flock cameras are out there, they are protecting people and locating criminals. Good! You shouldn’t be murdering your wife (Alex Murdaugh), shooting up businesses, or breaking the law. I want you caught. Makes my life easier.
So, give the cameras a break, they really are there to help not hurt, and it took a human being to mess it up for everyone. Imagine that.
